The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) reported a 24.2% increase in real estate transactions in 2024, highlighting the market’s resilience and diversity as it attracts global investors. The sector saw a total of 28,249 transactions, reflecting a 10.45% surge in value to AED 96.2 billion, including 16,735 sales transactions worth AED 58.5 billion and 11,514 mortgage transactions valued at AED 37.7 billion. In addition, Abu Dhabi launched 38 new off-plan projects and completed 12 major developments, strategically chosen for their diverse offerings, innovative designs, and affordability, appealing to a wide range of investors.

The Abu Dhabi real estate market continues to demonstrate its resilience and appeal to investors, recording a staggering AED 10.6 billion ($2.8 billion) in transactions during January 2025. National Advanced Sciences Agenda 2031

The National Advanced Sciences Agenda 2031 prioritizes scientific objectives for the UAE, aiming to leverage advanced sciences to address future challenges and support the goals of Vision 2021 and the Centennial Plan 2071. It includes eight scientific priorities and 30 targets to optimize the country’s strategic natural resources. The agenda is developed by over 100 experts from 50 public and private entities and will be implemented with the involvement of 10 government bodies.

UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence

Launched in 2017, the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the first mega project to achieve the objectives of UAE Centennial 2071. It characterises the post-mobile government phase in which all future government services, sectors and infrastructure projects will rely on AI. The strategy is the first of its kind in the world, and it will see investments in the latest AI technologies and tools to enhance government performance. By 2031, the UAE will achieve 100 per cent reliance on AI for government services and data analysis.

‘We the UAE 2031’ vision

‘We the UAE 2031’ vision aims to double the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) from AED 1.49 trillion to AED 3 trillion. It represents a national plan to shape the future of the country for the next 10 years, with focus on social, economic, investment and development aspects. The plan seeks to enhance the position of the UAE as a global partner and an attractive and influential economic hub. It aims to highlight the successful economic model of the UAE and the opportunities it provides to all global partners.

UAE Water Security Strategy 2036

By 2036, the UAE aims to reduce the total demand for water resources by 21 per cent, increase the water productivity index to USD 110 per cubic metre, reduce the water scarcity index by a ratio of three points, increase the reuse of treated water to 95 per cent and increase the national water storage capacity up to two days. Sustainable water supplies will be ensured in various circumstances through three main programmes: The Water Demand Management Program, the Water Supply Management Program and the Emergency Production and Distribution Programme.

UAE Energy Strategy 2050

In 2017, the UAE launched ‘Energy Strategy 2050’, which is considered the first unified energy strategy in the country that is based on supply and demand. The strategy aims to increase the contribution of clean energy in the total energy mix from 25 to 50 per cent by 2050 and reduce carbon footprint of power generation by 70 pe rcent, thus saving AED 700 billion by 2050. It also seeks to increase consumption efficiency of individuals and corporates by 40 per cent.
